Not this April 2008. April 2008 is soo memorable that I am speechless, Lost for Words. May 2008 rolls right in and boy did I get a kick in the ass. From left to right, to up and down, sideways, in the head, in the heart, in the nose and let me tell you, it hurts. Those April showers for some reason brought me the most excrutiating May flowers.

What is a Yaicha? My adventure friend and co-assistant organizer of adventurous outtings will tell you. He is Ted Hopton.
Now this is a man who can give you intriguing insights on an array of things. He will definitely give you the whole story on Costa Rica 2008, because he was there! Alongside me as well as before me and behind me (to catch my backdraft), he is an all around fun adventuring companion to have all together. Considering that him and I shared a room, and we didn’t tear each other apart- I think that makes for a pretty damn good travelling pal. Not once did he panic (there was really no reason to) and he was able to point out things that I missed.
He has all the happenings, dates, and good facts on our trip down! He’ll tell you everything that I missed, because somehow or other, we all tend to miss a little bit of information. His writings on Costa Rica can be found on his Yaicha Blog under his Costa Rica Journal.

“I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” — Robert Frost
“Traveling is like gambling: it is always connected with winning and losing, and generally where it is least expected we receive, more or less than what we hoped for.” — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The mountains are calling and I must go. –John Muir 1838-1914
So you’re ready to venture off? A weekend excursion? A day-trip? A week-long expedition? A month long adventure? Out there? You have a planned destination, and you sort of have some idea of what it’s going to be like? What if something goes wrong, something catastrophic!; Something that requires alot of knowledge and utilization of nearby surrounding resources to keep you alive until you get back into civilization. Do you know what YOU need to do?
Mountain Biking is a sport that requires hand, eye, leg coordination. This sport is extremely exciting and should not be taken for granted. It is definitely not like when you were 5years old and you were riding the neighborhood streets back and forth. Just take a look at the video attached.
Now you may all think that, that was easy, in that video. If you haven’t Mountain Biked, I wouldn’t try those things on a first try. If you have then go for it. White Clay Creek State Park was awesome and still is an awesome place to ride. My blog will be dedicated to two things, 1-helping the n00bs to mountain biking ride/ride better and 2-bringing all the local resources for the mountain biking sport- ie, where to ride, which bikes to buy, how to tune, etc..
